New Rochelle: Community Retreat at St. Joseph’s Seminary

New Rochelle Community Retreat

By Fr. Mike Mendl, SDB

(New Rochelle, NY – January 21) – On Friday, January 16, the faculty and staff of Salesian High School and the Salesians of the New Rochelle community spent a morning of retreat at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers. The day centered on the 2026 Strenna.

Fr. Michael Conway, director, prepared an opening prayer service focused on Jesus as the Good Shepherd. Fr. Eric Wyckoff then led a deep dive into the gospel of the wedding at Cana, interpreting what happened and inviting the participants to reflect on what Mary, Jesus, and others in the story did, and then to apply their reflections to their roles as Salesian educators.
