(New Rochelle, NY – July 13) – Camp Echo Bay started on Monday, June 26, and will continue through Friday, August 11. About 415 children are expected to come to camp this week, and another 10-15 campers will join for the rest of the summer.

This year, Camp Echo Bay began offering trips to Sports Time USA and the New Rock City Arcade in downtown New Rochelle. Additionally, Fr. Steve DeMaio, SDB, started a Salesianity aspect of the camp. Each morning, he meets with 15-25 counselors to go over the Salesian Preventive System and the models of reason, religion, and kindness. The daily morning Salesianity aspect is then expanded upon every Thursday.

"It’s pretty cool, and the kids are really receptive to it," Mr. Christopher Moronta '22, who works security at Camp Echo Bay, shared. "It’s really a blessing to see the kids smile and be excited to do activities, not wanting to leave."

God bless Camp Echo Bay and every Salesian summer camp and work!
