New Rochelle: Annual Memorial for Fr. Diego

(New Rochelle, NY – December 4, 2020) – The group known as Diego’s Boys celebrated their 26th annual memorial Mass for Fr. Diego Borgatello, who died on April 23, 1994. Renowned as the editor of the English version of The Biographical Memoirs of St. John Bosco, Fr. Diego was also a zealous mentor of the young in New Rochelle, and those youngsters, now fathers and grandfathers, continue to remember the Salesian formation that he gave them. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year only ten were able to take part at the Mass on the evening of December 4 in the chapel of Salesian High School, celebrated by Fr. John Serio. I concelebrated and took pictures.
