New Rochelle: 2026 Murray Endowment Scholarships Awarded

(New Rochelle, NY – March 18) – Annually the Province of St. Philip the Apostle (Canada and Eastern USA) awards financial grants to graduates of the five high schools in the Eastern USA sponsored by the Salesians of Don Bosco: Don Bosco Prep High School (est. 1915), Salesian High School (est. 1919/20), Archbishop Shaw High School (est. 1962), Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School (est. 2007), and Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School (est. 2016).

The Ruth and James Murray Endowment was established in 2015 to aid alumni from province high schools as they pursue college/university studies or vocational training. The 2026 awards exceeded $22,000.00!

This year's recipients are:

• Don Bosco Prep: Michael Ardizzone and Jayden Drakeford
• Archbishop Shaw: Daniel Mailhos, D'Artanian Miller, Connor Nash, Hayden Tassin, Gavin Richard, Zachary Richoux, and Trevor Whitted
• DBCR: Krista Green and Nicholas Black
• Cristo Rey Tampa: Alexa Astete and Samantha Mendez
