New Program Policy

Participants and young team members do not participate as individuals. All participants and young team members serve as representatives of their local work/ministry (Salesian or non-Salesian school, parish, or youth center). As a result, the local work/ministry sponsoring a group of participants and young team members assumes liability and responsibility for the safety of their representatives. Moreover, it is the responsibility of the local work/ministry to provide suitable and properly trained adult chaperones, in accordance with Province policy, to accompany any participants and young team members. The presence of adult chaperones from every work allows there to be personal accompaniment during the program and ensures a way forward for local follow-up after the program.
