(Montréal, QC – July 19) – The Montréal Community and the Don Bosco Youth Leadership Centre are proud to share some recent news about our Happy Days Summer Camp. Our camp opened on Monday, July 4, and will run for six weeks until Friday, August 12.We registered over 500 children and teens, with an average week attendance between 250 and 350 participants. With the help of a Canada Government Grant, we were able to hire 40 staff members. More than half of the animators are with us for the first time.

Our camp offers the traditional activities of a summer camp. Due to an agreement with the City of Montreal’s sports and leisure department, we can benefit from the use of city gyms and swimming pools. We are a greatly appreciated camp for numerous local families.

In Montréal, where the children and teens no longer have the privilege of being able to attend Catholic schools, we are proud to be very "Don Bosco- like" in offering a Catechism called "Faithspace" and a Friday Mass to all our young people.

Let us be united in prayer and solidarity with all our other Salesian communities that offer similar summer experiences to the young. May Don Bosco and Mary Help of Christians bless and protect all.
