A Message from Sr. Janna

Sr. Janna

(Marrero, LA – August 16, 2020) – Sr. Janna San Juan, FMA, made her own first profession as a Daughter of Mary Help of Christians on Wednesday, August 5. In the email below, sent on Sunday, August 16, she expresses her excitement and joy since her first profession.

My dear SDB Fathers and Brothers,

Happy Solemnity of our Lady! I hope this finds you well. Thank you for all your greetings, encouragement, and prayers for my First Profession. Your kind words have meant a lot to me and it was truly a day that overflowed with the Lord’s love. I’m very happy and grateful that you all could be “present” at least virtually. Things have gotten off to a great start here in Marrero. Although I feel as if I’ve been running at 80 mph during this first week of profession and my first year of teaching, I’m very happy and wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve also had a very warm welcome and great support from our Sisters, the faculty/staff, and other members of our Salesian Family. Thank you again. We have such a wonderful Province and Family. God bless, and please continue to pray for me!

With great joy,

Sr. Janna, FMA 🙂
