Marrero: Archbishop Shaw Students Help Communities Recover

Shaw Students Give Back

By Fr. Steve Ryan, SDB

(Marrero, LA — September 28) — As part of our Catholic tradition, we are called to service. Mr. Lucito led a group of students in that calling on Saturday, September 25, in Lafitte, LA, which was devastated by Hurricane Ida. Our school has a service requirement for each class. Although this day of service will go towards that obligation, many of our students exceed their prerequisites.

As part of our relief effort, we were able to present a check to St. Anthony's Church, which was demolished by the storm. If you would like to support our relief effort, please click here.

Thanks to Ms. Jennifer Mailhos for sharing her photos, which are linked here.
