Jerusalem: Fr. Eric Wyckoff Presents on His Book

(Jerusalem, Israel – February 15) – On Tuesday, February 15, Fr. Eric Wyckoff, Doctor of Sacred Scripture, presented aspects of his book, John 4: 1-42 among the Biblical Well Encounters, at Studium Biblicum Franciscanum. He covered the various elements of the “meeting at the well motif” in the Bible. The four accounts covered are Genesis 24, Genesis 29, Exodus 2, and John 4. He described the 10 elements that all four accounts share, which are journey, socioethnic barriers, water, works, recognition, worship, announcement, welcome, food, and matrimony/ progeny. Fr. Eric recently preached the spiritual retreat for the Salesian community in Ratisbonne. He is on the academic council and an associate professor at the Studium Theologicum Salesianum.
