Hernando: Celebrating St. Dominic Savio

Hernando Cooperators St. Dominic Savio Celebration

By Melody Candiloro, Salesian Cooperator

(Hernando, FL – May 12) – The Salesian Cooperators from the St. Dominic Savio Salesian Center at the Don Bosco's Children's Home in Hernando, FL, celebrated the glorious morning of May 6 in honor of St. Dominic Savio’s feast day.

We attended Mass, which was celebrated by Fr. Peter Okojie, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness, FL. We then gathered at the famous Hen House Restaurant, also in Inverness, for a delectable breakfast.

This marked the fourth anniversary of the establishment of our Center. We will continue our work at the Children's Home by striving and imitating the piety, purity, joyfulness and the holiness of such a special saint, who is such an inspiration and model for us all.
