FLORIDA: SALESIAN OUTREACH TO FAMILIES IN BELLE GLADE

Salesian Outreach to Families

(Belle Glade, Fla. – November 1) – The Salesian community of Belle Glade hosted its first “Date Nite” for married couples. We offered dinner, dancing, games, prizes, free child care, and a presentation made by the national organization Family Bridges, whose specialization is strengthening marriages and families. Over 20 couples attended; several came from outside of our standard parish family. Both the Salesian and parish communities are looking to continue and expand these efforts on a regular basis. Our goal is to touch the hearts and homes which influence our young people the most.
