Etobicoke: Squires Help the Homeless

Squires in Toronto

(Etobicoke, ON – December 5) – Last month, the Squires at St Benedict Parish carried out their long-held tradition, Street Patrol. It aims to serve the homeless population in downtown Toronto by providing food to many people.

In the morning, the Squires assembled sandwiches, divided into teams, and packed the food. After that, they traveled to downtown Toronto and traversed the area, where they distributed sandwiches, drinks, and chocolate to the homeless. They closed the day with a Mass at St. Michael’s Cathedral.

In total, the Squires were able to distribute about 160 sandwiches, juice boxes, and chocolate bars donated by Nestle. This event is an excellent way to get into contact with and help disadvantaged people in the community and reinforce the necessity of serving our neighbors.
