Etobicoke: Parish Fundraiser Unites Community

St. Benedict Parish Fundraiser

By Rosina Di Felice, Salesian Cooperator

(Etobicoke, ON – September 5) – Last August, St. Benedict Parish in Etobicoke held a fundraiser dubbed “Summer Sale Extravaganza.” The outdoor bazaar featured a multitude of vendors selling new and gently used items, multicultural foods, and baked goods. There were music, line dancing, and a bouncy castle. The event was not only a financial success but also brought the parish community together united in a common mission. The spirit of Salesian joy was evident throughout the day of fun, food, and fellowship. Proceeds were applied toward the parish debt.
