(East Boston, MA – September 13) – Last Tuesday, September 6, the Salesian Boys & Girls Club began to greet regular members and started its after school program. The staff has many new and exciting programs and activities planned for club members, including renovated activity rooms and spaces. This is great for the Club after it concluded its summer camp. The campers had a great summer and found many fun and exciting activities. Camp ended with a BBQ with food provided by Sammy Carlos Deli, located a few blocks from the Club. A quick summer recap began with an unscheduled fire drill in the rain, complete with the Boston Fire Department responding when the alarm went off. Last year, the Boston Fire Department was summoned when the roof caught fire. This summer, all cheered the Boston firefighters as they walked by the campers. Throughout the summer, campers were treated to numerous field trips, including a beach party with Captain Jack Sparrow.
