(East Boston, MA – August 2) – Now that the nation’s heat dome has hit the Boston Metro area, it’s time to drag out the Salesian Boys & Girls Club’s water slide! This week, club members attended field trips to the Stone Zoo, and the teens were treated to a movie in a cool movie theater.

Yet as good as the field trips are, a nice cool dip in the water slide hits the spot. Those not on the water slide get a nice, cool spray from the guiding hands of a staff member. The water slide is in front of the clubhouse in the playground area.

Two weeks ago, the club members and staff were provided a pancake and sausage breakfast and grilled hot dog afternoon snack prepared by me, the club's cook. Staff also received a special treat for their weekly staff meeting: a cheeseburger and hot dog lunch.
