(East Boston, MA – December 22) – Christmas is upon us! The last few weeks at the Salesian Boys and Girls Club (the Club) have been busy ones. They all lead to the main event—the Club’s Christmas party, which is open to all Club members and summer camp campers.
The party would not be possible if it were not for the hard work of our marketing coordinator Anita Belmonte, executive director Mike Triant, business manager Jimmy Geraci, and the Club’s staff, and board of directors. The most important group is that of the attendees and their families, the Club members! We are fortunate to have such a great group of youngsters.
When I taught at Mary Help of Christians School in Tampa (which used to be a boarding school), one of my shop students gave me a rustic-carved wooden piece of oak wood that he and his classmates made that said, “Among God’s greatest gifts are the people who love us.” We are all one of those “greatest gifts” to someone!
