Dcn. Tom Junis to be Ordained a Salesian Priest

Soon-to-be Fr. Thomas “Tom” Junis, SDB, at his ordination to the diaconate last year

(New Rochelle, N.Y. – June 24) – Dcn. Thomas “Tom” Junis, SDB, will be ordained a priest on Saturday, June 27.

Dcn. Tom’s ordination will take place at St. John Bosco-St. James Parish in Chicago, Ill., at 10:00 a.m. CT. He will be ordained to the order of the presbyterate by the Most Rev. José Maria Garcia-Maldonaldo, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago.

Anyone who would like to watch Dcn. Tom’s ordination can tune in via livestream from the parish’s Facebook page on the day of Dcn. Tom’s ordination.

A celebration will take place outside the church after the ordination. Additionally, there will be a Mass of Thanksgiving on Sunday morning, June 28, at St. John Bosco-St. James Parish at 9:30 a.m. CT.

After his ordination, Fr. Tom Junis will become a member of the Ramsey community.
