Fr. John Blanco 60th Anniversary

By Fr. Mike Mendl, SDB

(New Rochelle, NY – February 15) – Fr. John Blanco, SDB, was ordained on February 9, 1964, in Turin. To celebrate his 60th anniversary, his community of Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ, organized a luncheon party on Saturday, February 10, at Mezza Luna Bistro in Allendale, NJ. About 40 Salesians, family members, and friends of Fr. John from both his native city of New Rochelle and Port Chester, where he was parochial vicar for years, attended. Fr. Abe Feliciano, his director, paid tribute to Fr. John with a toast before the meal, which Fr. Dominic Tran, provincial, then blessed.
