Chicago: Camp Don Bosco Illuminates Community

Camp Don Bosco

(Chicago – August 13) – Camp Don Bosco in Chicago has been “a home away from home” for the kids from St. John Bosco Parish and surrounding neighborhoods. Serving the young for almost 20 summer seasons, it is still small enough to hold onto the spirit of Don Bosco’s original “festive oratory.” Since 1998 the Chicago Salesians have labored in this local mission among the hard-working immigrants who give life to Chicago!

This year’s camp season was blessed once again with a creative lay staff of empowered Salesian youths/young adults and four enthusiastic SDBs: Fr. Rich Rosin (camp director), Fr. Juan Pablo Rubio (CYM), Deacon Bro. John Langan (pastoral care), and prenovice Paul Hotovy (program director).
