Celebrating Sr. Alphonsine

(Etobicoke, ON – October 8) – During the Salesian Cooperators’ Inter-America Formation Congress in Santo Domingo, participants honoured Sr. Alphonsine Roy, FMA, as she celebrates her 60th anniversary of profession this year. On Saturday, September 27, she renewed her vows at Mass and was fêted during the evening social.

As the provincial delegate for Salesian Cooperators in Canada, Sr. Alphonsine maintains an active presence and communication with local centres and contributes to the initial formation of candidates. She also keeps in contact with FMA past pupils from the works in which the Salesian Sisters served in Eastern Canada several years ago.
