Annual CYM Meetings Return to the Shrine

(New Rochelle, NY – October 29) – This year’s CYM Meetings took place from Wednesday, October 27 through Friday, October 29 at the Marian Shrine (the Shrine) in Stony Point, NY. On Tuesday, October 26, the province youth ministry team welcomed 18 in-person attendees, some of whom traveled from Canada and the southeastern United States. There were also three CYMs who chose to participate virtually.

The themes for this year’s meeting were “Let the Children Come to Me,” “Preserving Our World for the Young,” and “Exploring the New Directory for Catechesis.” They also partook in two fun socials, including a Salesian escape room. By the end of the gathering, the CYMs felt a true spirit of Valdocco and, as the Province Youth Ministry Delegate, Fr. Louis Molinelli, SDB, discussed during the first session on Thursday, October 28, that creation—which includes everyone and everything God made in this world—is God’s loving plan, and He has a purpose for it.
