(New Rochelle, NY – April 4) – On Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22, the province schools’ directors, presidents, and principals met under the guidance of Fr. Louis Molinelli at the Don Bosco Retreat Center in Stony Point, NY, for an administrators meeting. All six province schools were represented, as well as Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Marrero, LA, which we hope to welcome to a Salesian network of schools soon. Mr. John Devlin, the executive director of schools for the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, and Fr. Robert Reiser, SJ, the executive director of the Jesuit Schools Network, gave presentations. Both presenters spoke on the workings, benefits, and development of a school network.
In addition to these presentations, the school administrators were encouraged to provide feedback on the standards and benchmarks for our province schools. These will be reviewed during the provincial chapter.
